Odonata larvae are not, to me, very attractive. However, like many people, I find that the adult forms of the order can be very intriguing, particularly the dragonfly.
Thus, when I saw this leaf, I was immediately intrigued. Taking the shot was a right pain, since I couldn't crouch small enough to get the leaf without bumping the cluster of branches it was on. Still somehow something very nice came out of the shooting.
It was a debate between this shot, that I keep meaning to post, or one I took today with all the snow I wish we didn't have, but this one won - simply because it's a better photo.
