Good times

So, first I have to apologize to Maria that the focus is not the best here. Sorry, Maria!

I snapped this shot because she is laughing so hard, and because her nails are so red.

Maria is one of my two oldest friends. Both of my oldest friends I met while I was in high school. Only one of them actually attended my high school, and that was Maria.

She's a year ahead of me, but not older than me. She was a smart kid apparently. For the record, I was also a smart kid, but they bumped me back down when I was bumped up from pre-school to kindergarten because I got hungry during Bible study. I used to feel ripped off, but at this point it's just a funny story.

Anyway, the nails are key here. The Maria of my high school years always had long, brightly coloured nails. Sometimes rainbow colours. I should say "Apple rainbow" colours. She's an Apple fiend.

She has always been an Apple fiend, and this has given her trouble exactly once. She had one of those rainbow coloured Apple logo decals on her car window in high school. Some jerk keyed "Fagit" into her car.

I guess it just so thoroughly demonstrates one of the many ways in which bigotry combines with idiocy and ignorance. We were all pretty pissed for Maria's sake, but we had to laugh at the misspelling and the complete lack of understanding of the rainbow.

I mean, did this person think God was a "fagit" after every rain?
