New Pal

This is Pat. We "met" online, and this is a photo of him taken at our first real life meeting.

Amusingly enough, we actually went to college together, overlapping for three years. We never met. At some colleges, that would warrant a big, "So what?", but my school was tiny.

He is just as much fun IRL as he looks right here. He also recognized Bill from college, though they barely interacted. It was a good thing he recognized Bill & Erin, because I hadn't found parking for the car yet. Bill & Erin would have waited a long time to go in and be seated if they'd had to wait for me to park, find my way back around to the restaurant and then figure out who this Pat person was.

Luckily, Pat saved the day by recognizing Bill. Then when I got in, I also recognized Bill, and knew where to sit.

Hooray for small schools!

Oh, and for the watchers, I went back and back-updated for all the time I missed while I was back in NM visiting. Please go ahead and wander back there and check out the last 8 days or so.
