This photo and the next are two shots fired immediately after one another (posted in chronological order of capture), and are two I'd desperately like commentary on. The previous iris shots could also use some critiquing, but I'm most curious about people's opinions on these two.
My thoughts right now are that this is a technically good shot. I think it really captures the feeling of being on Michigan Avenue, particularly on the first truly nice day of the year. People are still a bit bundled up, but it's sunny and warm out. The kids are just hanging out and enjoying themselves.
Feedback from a nonphotographer: I think your intent would have been better captured if they'd actually been in the sun, but b/c of the way the light falls, the group of kids are in shadow and are made to look a bit grimy, actually.

@Angelique: Interesting. I don't know that I had any specific intent when I fired the shot, though I know what I thought the photo said after I saw it on screen.
Must have been projecting how happy I was that it was nice out.
That guy there was looking at you, what happened after that?

@Levine: Nothing, actually. I couldn't tell even then if he was looking at me or at something near or around me. Possibly he saw me taking photos and said something to his friends, but I will never know.
