Okay, so as strange as the Navy training men to do book binding as they waited to be sent home was, it turned out this little pamphlet was even stranger.

This is the cover to a pamphlet passed out by the Army to infantry men. It is directions on how to bind a paperback while on the ground, or "in the trenches" as the case may be.

As the very nice man said to me, "You could bind your book, then go back to shooting Germans."
